Juan Leva

Juan Leva is a spaniard PhD-student (ESR3) settled in Leeds, England. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Nanoscience and Nanotehcnology from Autonomous University of Barcelona and a Master in Biomedicine from University of Barcelona. Both bachelor’s and master’s final thesis consisted in developing biosensors for pathogen detection. He works at University of Leeds at the Bionanotechnology group and Molecular & Nanoscale Physics under the supervision of Prof. Paul Millner and Dr. Sally A. Peyman.

Juan works developing electrochemical and optical nanobiosensors for pathogen detection. His research is mainly focused in comparing the classical biosensors with novel biosensor based on TAAs- surface adhesion.
