Prof. Dirk Linke
Dirk Linke is a Professor in Molecular Microbiology at the Department of Biosciences, University of Oslo. His research interests focus on bacterial adhesion and bacterial membrane transport processes. His interdisciplinary group consists of microbiologists, structural biologists, and material scientists, using molecular biology, NMR, x-ray crystallography, and other biophysical methods to understand and compare adhesion factors and other membrane proteins from different bacterial species, with a focus on Gram-negative enterobacteria.
The University of Oslo and more specifically the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences hosts state-of-the-art facilities for x-ray crystallography and NMR, as well as for advanced light microscopy. The Department of Biosciences has more than 250 international researchers working on all aspects of biology.
